Benefits, Indications: Tuberose oil is also known by its romantic and sensual names “Night Queen” and “Mistress of the Night”. It behaves as an aphrodisiac and its very strong, intense and intoxicating floral fragrance fills the air and creates an atmosphere of love.

It also relaxes the mind and relieves tension and has a warming effect on the organs as it increases circulation of blood which in turn helps cure erectile dysfunctions, impotency etc. Tuberose is world famous for its use in perfumes and the rich, intense and long-lasting floral fragrance is an ideal choice for a deodorant, which is why it is so popular in countries with a hot and humid climate.



This essential oil is good in sedating inflammation, particularly pertaining to the nervous and respiratory systema. But to have this sedating effect, it should be used in good dilution. In addition to the benefits described above, this essential oil can also be used to keep the skin free of infections and cracks, to counter nausea, and to reduce the tendency of vomiting and effects of foul smells in certain areas.

Chemical Constituents: Menthyl benzoate, menthyl anthranilate, benzyl alcohol, butyric acid, eugenol, nerol, farnesol, geraniol

Companion Oils: Bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, lavender, mandarin, neroli, orange, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, vetiver

Precautions: Tuberose oil is not normally used in aromatherapy but in the perfume industry as a component of good quality perfumes and is said to have narcotic properties, although proper safety data is not available.
