Benefits, Indications: In aromatherapy Hyacinth is rarely used, except to create individualized fragrances. However, it has potential for its psychological effects to treat addictions, mental fatigue, nervous ailments, burnout, depression, fatigue, sorrow, apathy and stress related conditions.

It can be useful at times of grieving and loss and may help to overcome fear and anxieties at the dawn of a new chapter in life, or at the break up of a relationship. Due to its highly refreshing and floral aroma, it is widely used in the formulation of exotic perfumes, deodorants, room fresheners, scented candles, incense sticks and other aromatic products.



Hyacinth also works wonderfully on acne, pimples, blemishes and other skin ailments which make it a perfect ingredient in the production of gels, creams and ointments. It is also effective in rejuvenating the muscles of the face, shoulders and neck.

Chemical Constituents: Benzyl alcohol, benzaldehyde, cinnamyl alcohol, phenylethyl alcohol, benzyl acetate, benzoic acid, benzyl benzoate, methyl eugenol, eugenol, hudroquinone

Companion Oils: Narcissus, elemi, violet, galbanum, ylang ylang, jasmine, orange blossom, amyris, ambrette
