Weight Loss Helped by a Multi??

Researchers from Laval University conducted two studies: a comparison of the characteristics between vitamin and/or dietary supplement consumption and non-consumption, and the effects of multivitamin and mineral supplementation during a weight-reducing program.

The bottom line…it was found that those taking supplementation achieved better results as it was easier for them to control their appetite.

No surprises here really. The importance of broad and adequate nutrient intake whilst attempting to lose weight is often overlooked by people attempting to lose weight. Many people think that all they really have to do is to eat less and they will lose weight. No doubt about that at all.

But…the reality is that in real life it is almost impossible to cut back on quantity of food unless you are on a perfect diet! But then if you were on a perfect diet you wouldn’t get so hungry and hence you would not have an overweight problem.

All that these people would have experienced in these studies is that the nutritional supplementation would have provided some of the essential nutrients that they need and a by product of this is less hunger and better weight loss results.

If you are trying to lose weight there is no point in spending money on expensive ‘thermogenic’ weight loss supplements and some of these other products that are promoted…none of them really work. At the end of the day the only thing that will lose weight and keep it off is eating less and exercising more.

The key is looking at food differently and eat it to live, and not live to eat. In other words only eat what is going to benefit your body not ‘food’ which temporarily satisfies your taste buds!

If you need to lose weight then using a good multi is the minimal supplementation that you should be doing, but ideally you should be taking one of our Total Balance products to maximize the spectrum of essential nutrients.
