Some interesting information has just been released about Tocotrienols in the latest Journal of Nutrition.
Tocotrienols (a form of Vitamin E) are a natural full spectrum carotene complex manufactured from palm oil. They complement the more common form of Vitamin E (tocopherols) although it is much more potent. (and a lot more expensive which is why it is not in most supplements)
There is also quite a variation in the efficacy (and price) of tocotrienols on the market. Our research has established that the best is the Tocotrienol known as Tocomin and manufactured by Carotech. This is the type that we have been using for the last 6 years.
We have always included 10mgs per day of this nutrient in all versions of our Total Balance. This is the same amount and same brand that is used in the study that I am referring to.
The information that has just been released concerned studies done by Japanese researchers at the Tohoku University and Nippon Medical School.
What is positive about these findings is that these results were achieved using Tocotrienols alone. It is well accepted by the scientific community that a nutrient can be much more effective when synergistically combined with other co-factors than when used singly. This is what we have done by combining the Tocotrienols with another 84 synergistic nutrients in Total Balance.
