Do you have a job that involves repetitive motion? If you aren’t careful, you could end up needing home remedies for carpal tunnel syndrome. For people who already suffer from it, here are some home remedies for carpal tunnel syndrome to help relieve the pain.

What is carpal tunnel syndrome? The carpal tunnel is a narrow passage on the inside of your forearm at the level of your wrist. It houses the medial nerve and tendons that flex the fingers on your hand. All of these structures fit nice and neat in this passage that protects them from injury.

Cumin is a spice that is used in Eastern dishes to add rich flavor to the food, but it can be much more than that. Cumin can be used as an herbal remedy in your home. Here are some of its other benefits.

Those who live in the East have known about the effects of cumin for thousands of years. Now it is time for the rest of us to learn how it can help. This herb is a flowering plant from the parsley family and even its seeds are useful.

Cumin has been traditionally used to heal digestive ailments. If you suffer from gas, indigestion, diarrhea and even morning sickness, cumin is your herb of choice. You can make a tea by boiling the seeds. Combine the cumin water with coriander leaf juice and salt.

Don’t throw those seeds away, though. If you grind them into a paste and mix with water, they can be made into a salve that is used topically to treat boils. The seeds are also full of iron. Incorporating them into your diet can enhance the functions of the liver. As you probably know, the liver helps to detoxify the blood.

New parents have a lot of challenges to face. It’s hard enough for them when baby doesn’t sleep through the night, but what if he is exhibiting signs of colic? Before you can deal with your baby, someone may have to calm you down.

As a parent, the word “overreacting” isn’t in your vocabulary. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The instincts you develop can keep your baby safe from harm.

When it comes to colic, the months of constant crying can have your internal mommy alarms going off at every turn. While a colicky baby is cause for concern there is no need to worry. Call your pediatrician, but in the meantime, calmly gain control of your emotions.

Take a deep breath. Your baby is not in any danger. Colic is often caused by an immature digestive system that is quite sensitive in baby’s early months of life. Their systems are still new to the outside world.

Eczema treatment can be done without the use of medication. In fact, there are natural treatments available and you just have to know what these are.

The first natural remedy is probiotics. This is good bacteria and we have this inside our bodies. It suppresses the growth of bad or harmful bacteria in our system, influences our immune function and strengthens the digestive tract’s protective barrier.

Since there are not enough probiotics inside the digestive tract of infants, nursing mothers are encouraged to breast filled their babies as the milk also contains galacto-oligosaccharides that help probiotics grow in the body especially during the first six months.

Studies have shown that over a two year period, infants that are breast fed have less risk of suffering from eczema later on in life.

Children and adults can also drink probiotics. A good example of this is Yakult which is made from a mixture of skimmed milk powder, sugar and water that is ultra-heat treated and then fermented using a live probiotic strain called Lactobacillus casei Shirota.

More and more people are turning to alternative methods to treat their medical conditions. For the condition Alzheimer’s there are several alternative treatments currently in use. However, before using any alternative treatment it is best to consult your doctor.

Alternative medicines vary in their dosages and effectiveness. There is no government agency that regulates their formulation or the effects that they may or may not have. Companies can volunteer any testimonials and information from their customers, but are not required to do so.

If you (or a loved one) are already taking medication for Alzheimer’s, introducing alternative remedies into the mix can cause problems. The effectiveness of the traditional medication can be reduced or compromised altogether.

Alternative treatments usually involve using non-invasive therapies, herbal remedies and other supplements. Many have similar results in the body to more traditional medicines, but without all of the side effects. If you are thinking about alternative methods of treatment, here are a few choices.

It’s not just the peppermint candy you pop into your mouth when your mouth is dry or in order to refresh your breath. Peppermint tastes great in candy but did you know that it could also settle your stomach? Here is the skinny on this pungent plant.

Peppermint can be found in everything from tea to candy to medicines. Peppermint itself is a plant called “Mentha piperita” in botanical terms. Including spearmint, peppermint is the mint most often used in aromatherapy, medicinal and commercial products.

When you use peppermint, it can be in plant form, as an essential oil or in balms. This particular mint contains lots of menthol. This is the component that makes you breath feel cool when you inhale after eating peppermint candy or drinking peppermint tea. If you’ve ever sniffed peppermint at full strength, the result is watery eyes and opened nasal passages that you could drive a train through.
