Acid Indigestion: Warm a cup of milk and steep four or five eucalyptus leaves in it. Drink this to ease discomfort

Aqua Vitae: Considered and excellent elixir of health for hundreds of years, this liqueur may be prepared and taken once a day, like a vitamin. To a liter of brandy add five or six bay leaves, a teaspoon of cardamom seed, a teaspoon of clove, two teaspoons each of angelica, chamomile, lemon rind, fennel seed, licorice, nutmeg, cinnamon, several slices of ginger root (to your taste), and a handful of juniper berries along with sugar or honey to sweeten. This may be warmed to incorporate the herbs, or left in a sunny window, then strained after about a month.

Athlete’s Foot: Besides keeping your feet dry and powdered with Orrin root, try a vinegar rinse (one cup water, one teaspoon cider vinegar) to which one tablespoon thyme and red clover have been added. Soak for 15 minutes.

Bee/Wasp Stings: A drop each of tincture or myrrh or onion juice will help draw out the poison

You should make an effort to have a dental health care plan for family members to follow. Dental health is not an accident, people plan to take good care of their teeth, tongue, mouth and gums and in turn they avoid dental disease and have natural teeth instead of dentures. Dental health care is important for children, teens, adults and seniors.

A good dental health care plan includes proper brushing, flossing, the proper toothbrush, and the best toothpaste for each family member and regular visits to the dentist for examinations and cleanings every six months.

A good dental health plan prevents gum disease, treats cold sores, canker sores and other mouth infections as soon as they start.

A good dental health plan includes regular visits to the dentist, which may include an examination, cleaning, and X-rays.

A good dental health care plan knows that fluoride is important for kids and adults and that those who drink bottled water need to take fluoride supplements.

Vitamin BVitamin B is a complex or a group of vitamins – B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12. The scientific names are thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, bio 10, folic acid and cobalamin.

The B vitamins are essential for growth, development and a significant number of bodily functions. They play a major role in enzymes and proteins that regulate chemical reactions in the body.

With the exception of folic acid, there is not enough scientific evidence to know whether or not the be vitamins can reduce the risk of cancer.

Researchers do know that people who have a low intake of folic acid are added increased risk from certain types of cancers but there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that vitamin B is an effective treatment for people who already have cancer.

Cold sores and fever blisters are often used interchangeably. This means that these two terms refer to only one condition. This is the ulceration or sores in the lip and the skin surrounding the lip caused by infection called herpes simplex or oral herpes. Because this may be painful, often the same medication for migraine is what you use to help manage the pain caused by cold sores or fever blisters.

You however do not interchange fever blisters with canker sores. This is because canker sores are fluid-filled blisters that happen inside the mouth, while cold sores or fever blisters are fluid-filled blisters; most commonly painful that happens in the lip and the skin surrounding the lip.

Cold sore or fever blisters may be painful and thus understanding its causes, symptoms and how to treat them may be useful for those people who are at risk of this uncomfortable soreness.

The tissues in the mouth can benefit greatly from sea salt.

For bleeding gums – make a paste of 1 tsp. baking soda to 1/2 tsp. sea salt…brush with this mixture 3 times per day instead of the toothpaste. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil.

Gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat, mouth sores or canker sores.

You can once again eat spicy foods in comfort if you douse painful canker sores with raspberry leaf tea (Rubus idaeus). Steep 2 tablespoons of dried raspberry leaves in 1 cup boiling hot water until it cools.

Strain the tea, and then swish a few mouthfuls for about one minute each three times a day. The tannins in this tea (which tastes a little like black tea) reduce the swelling and clean the sore so it can heal faster.

Canker sores are mouth ulcers which are an open sore found in the mucus membrane skins inside the lips, cheeks, on the roof of the mouth, and on the underside of the tongue.  These painful sores can also be found on the soft palate and the tonsil areas.  There are many causes for canker sores in the mouth, and most are preventable.

An injury such as biting the inside of the cheek can turn into a painful canker sore.  An immune system that attacks healthy cells in the mouth instead of viruses and bacteria can also cause these types of mouth ulcers.  If you are deficient in vitamins or minerals such as zinc, folic acid, iron or B12 you may develop canker sores.

Food allergies or certain foods which are highly acidic can cause canker sores in the mouth.  These include:

* Chocolate
* Acidic foods, oranges or pineapple
* Strawberries
* Eggs
* Cheese
* Nuts
* Coffee
