Reduce Your Risk For Heart Disease By Improving Your Diet
Have you heard about a heart healthy diet? It is a diet that is designed around preventing heart disease through the foods you eat. When you concentrate on eating healthy foods and improve lifestyle habits so that you protect your heart you can reduce your risk for heart disease, heart attack and also reduce your risk for stroke.
Many things may lead to heart disease including having high cholesterol, high blood pressure and being obese. All of these things can be affected by the foods we eat. When we overeat and do not exercise enough we can become obese.
When we eat foods high in fat and cholesterol we contribute to high blood pressure and high cholesterol. When we eat fresh fruits and vegetables and whole wheat we can reduce our risk for heart disease. Fruits and vegetables are part of a heart-healthy diet because they are full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
They are also low in fat, calories, sodium, and cholesterol, which make them, heart healthy. Low-fat or nonfat cheese, yogurt, and buttermilk, skim milk, or 1% milk are good sources of protein, calcium, B vitamins, niacin, riboflavin, vitamins A and D which are all heart healthy.
Foods that are high in B vitamins, iron, and fiber and low in fat and cholesterol such as low-fat breads, cereals, crackers, rice, pasta, and starchy vegetables are also good for your heart. Skinless poultry, seafood, lean meats, dried peas, lentils, nuts, and eggs are also good sources of protein, B vitamins, iron, and also other vitamins and minerals so they are also heart-healthy.
When deciding on a heart-healthy diet you could ask your doctor for a consult to see a dietician or a nutritionist who can help you to plan heart-healthy meals and snacks.
Make sure to balance your calories with the number of calories you use up each day with the activities and exercise you do. Limit yourself in the amount of foods that are high in calories such as sodas, cakes and other pastries, and candy.
Eat five or more servings of fruit and vegetables each day and six or more servings of grains each day. Reduce your total intake of fats and lower your intake of cholesterol, and sodium. Balance your diet with a proper amount of exercise (at least 30 minutes a day), and limit your amount of alcohol consumption.
We Recommend:
Cardio-Klenz is the only natural supplement that we are aware of which utilizes enteric coating technology to safely release the active ingredients in the stomach. This delivery method not only protects the enzymes such as Nattokinase but also greatly enhances the efficacy of other ingredients present such as Resveratrol and L-Glutathione. No other formula covers so many ‘angles’ to manage and protect your cardiovascular system, and yet Cardio-Klenz is still natural with no known side effects.
Mountain Rose Herbs is where we recommend you purchase all of your organic, wild crafted bulk herbs, spices, teas and pure, organic essential oils!
