The link wouldn’t show here so check in my sources. It should show there.

Listen to some of that and if you like it you can can search on something like iTunes for “Run to Cadence”.

There are Cadence’s out there that aren’t Military related. I personally just listen to Military Cadence’s because I just for some reason like it. I just can’t explain it.

Another advantage to using a Cadence is that it not only is a song you could listen to BUT you can actually sing it and it keeps you to a steady beat. There was a great guide I found a while back that detailed how to exactly to do this but it is very good for exercise or so what I was reading said. The videos on Youtube are Military Cadence’s so they will be doing what they call “Double Time”. It is more or less teaching the Soldiers how to do a PT Run. So it doesn’t matter if it just happened to be you singing. You don’t have to have someone answering back and you can make up your cadences, you don’t need to be running down a side walk singing about military related things. People may think it is awkward but the joke is on them. They are being lazy, your not :D .

I can’t really expect you to appreciate this type of music considering your avatar indicates your more of hip hop sort of person. Just don’t set it aside until you have listened to some of it.

I’m also always looking for good running/cycling/cardio machine music. Here’s some music (artist – album) that’s been on my MP3 player forever:

The Chemical Brothers – Exit Planet Dust (my all-time favorite)
The Crystal Method – Tweekend (Vegas will also wake the dead)
Moby – Play (a bit more “inspirational” perhaps)
Cheap Trick – At Budokan (thousands of screaming Japanese teenage girls)
Faithless – Sunday 8pm (“God is a DJ” is a wonderful starting track)
Massive Attack – Blue Lines (Mezzanine is also excellent)
U2 – The Best of 1980-1990 (lots and lots of U2 albums)

I usually don’t play entire albums when running, but instead create mixes. The albums above are exceptions.

I also check iTunes. There’s an iTunes Essentials playlist called “Total Workout: Cardio” that’s got 75 tracks that I think’s pretty good. I probably use at least 1/2 of those songs to create playlists.

    Have a good workout!
