You will feel stress a lot during your life. Stress is defined as the tension you feel over circumstances and situations. Sometimes you have control over these circumstances and situations and sometimes you do not.

When you have little control over the stressors in your life, then you certainly need to learn how to deal with the stresses that you feel.

When you feel stress, it is also important to understand that every person reacts differently to stress. Sometimes people will hardly notice the little changes that cause other people panic and anxiety attacks. This is also a part of life.

You know how stress can affect your life and how it can make you feel, but did you also know that when you are stressed you will also have physical signs? If you are not sure what physical signs of stress may be, then read on so you can learn more.

There are many physical signs of stress. One of the biggest signs that you may notice is muscle tension. You may feel achy muscles and this is because when you are stressed, you do tend to tense up your body. It is harder to relax completely when you are feeling stressed. People that complain of this symptom often tell doctors that they have aching shoulder and pains in their necks.

During a stressful situation, it is not uncommon to pull up your shoulders and this will quickly cause muscle tension and pain. Instead of suffering, when you are feeling stressed, you should make a concerted effort to relax your muscles. Take some time to stretch out every now and then. This will help your muscles feel better and relaxed.

Sweating is another common physical sign of being stressed. When you are feeling overly stressed, you may experience sweating all over your body, or you might have sweaty palms. This is quite common and is a natural reaction that many people have. You may find that you are sweating even when you are not exercising or are active. There is little you can do about sweating when you are stressed, but you can take some cleansing breathes and relax your body that will help fight off stress symptoms.

You may also experience abdominal pain when you are stress. This is quite common in children, too. When you think about a child that complains of a stomach ache, but does not seem to be sick, many times, it is because they are feeling stressed.

Adults can feel this way, too. You may have stomach cramping, diarrhea and you may even be nauseated. Stress may also cause you to feel like you have indigestion and you may have a hard time eating the things that you enjoy. Ever had butterflies or flutters in your stomach? This is another common sign of stress.

Nervous ticks and even heart palpitations are common as well. People who are feeling stressed often get these symptoms and find they are beyond their control. When you have stress in your life, be on the lookout for these common physical symptoms.
