Omega 3 DHA or GLM (Omega 3 with Green Lipped Mussel)?

Question: from Bahman.

I would also like to purchase your Omega 3 products. Having looked at your product list, there are two types of Omega 3 :

1) GLM-Omega 3 plus &
2) Omega 3 / DHA Ester.

Could you please advise me which one I should purchase to use it together with Total balance Mens Plus and how many pills should I should take daily.

Answer: from Joanna (Medical Nutritionist for Xtend-Life)

If you are looking for an overall daily supplement regime then I would include the straight Omega 3 / DHAs at 2-3 per day. This is for general maintenance and overall health rather than for a specific problem.

The GLM-Omega 3 Plus formula is for a different purpose. It is the Omega 3 combined with a potent Green Lipped Mussel extract which is useful as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory, for joint and muscle problems (which is why it is recommended as a compliment to our Arthrit-Eze formula for arthritis related conditions).

So, if you have general muscle or joint aches and pains then the GLM-Omega 3 Plus formula would be more appropriate. It still contains your full quota of Omega 3 / DHA but you have to take more soft gels. But if you do not need the pain/inflammation relieving effects of the GLM, then I would stick to the basic Omega 3 / DHA formula.

If you choose the Omega 3 / DHA then I would recommend 2-3 softgels per day, for maintenance. If you choose the GLM formula then I would advise 3-4 per day and see how you go with your aches and pains.

Both of these can be taken at the same time as Total Balance.
