What a coincidence that this article came up today. I read just two days ago a report by a man who suffered terribly from trigeminal neuralgia and was very satisfied with the homeopathic treatment he received. Having used homeopathy myself for many years and found it to be successful and completely satisfying for all my health problems, I’m not surprised by this man’s improvement. I believe he stated that he had not had an attack for the past 20 years!

I suffered from this for two years and it was driving me crazy until I saw a naturopath and they gave me a heap of minerals and vitamins to take (about 30 a day). I took them for a week and I could feel the symptoms occurrence and severity reducing so I kept taking them and it cured it completely. Six months later I have had a little feeling of a relapse so again I take all the minerals and it nipped it in the bud straight away.
Now I just take the supplements maybe once a month and I have been fantastic…..

I remember her saying it was my diet and now I think it really was…

I agree with Dr. Elaine that there are indeed some effective remedies for the management of neuralgia in conventional medical practice. Of course other options do exist that can be considered. My recent post What is Premature Ejaculation?

There are other treatments for neuralgia including vitamins, such as vitamin D, B complex, and fish oils.

I’m just weaning myself off “traditional” medicine I was given for this condition as I feel dreadful on it. I’ll certainly take your advice and visit a Homeopath to lessen frequency and severity of attacks as I feel poisoned by the drugs but the pain was so intense I’d have taken anything to stop it during this, my first known attack.
