Is Angioprim the Answer for Cleaning Arteries?
Question: from Brad
Warren - I took a product for several months to clear my arteries of plaque. I have stable angina and 30% build up in the left anterior descending artery.
The product is called Angioprim. The testimonials at the angioprim website are very persuasive and genuine. That’s why I decided to give it a try.
It did not cure my angina and I have not gone through additional tests to see if the plaque was reduced in my arteries, so the effectiveness of angioprim for me is inconclusive as far as cleaning out my arteries.
But, one interesting result happened that I was very pleased about. My gums for the last 15 years have been slowing receding. After taking angioprim for a couple of months, they began growing back, and continued to grow back layer upon layer. My gums are healthy once again!!
The ingredients of angioprim are as follows:
CAYSINE (Proprietary Blend of synthetic amino acid)
A powerful metal chelator and one of the most effective anti-oxidants known. A safe food preservative that can improve your life. Stimulates the endocrine system to promote the production of enzymes that are responsible for maintaining proper calcium and phosphorus balance. Aids in the removal unwanted calcium and metals. Assists in reducing stress and fatigue by improving cell functions.
LYSINE (Essential Amino Acid)
Lysine is important for proper growth and it plays an essential role in the production of carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping to lower cholesterol. Lysine appears to help the body absorb and conserve calcium and it plays an important role in the formation of collagen, a substance important for bones and connective tissues including skin, tendon, and cartilage.
CYSTINE (Non-Essential Amino Acid)
Functions as an antioxidant and is a powerful aid to the body in protecting against radiation and pollution. It can help slow down the aging process, deactivate free radicals, neutralize toxins; aids in protein synthesis and presents cellular change. It is necessary for the formation of the skin, which aids in the recovery from burns and surgical operations. Hair and skin are made up 10-14% Cystine.
I am not promoting Angioprim. I’m just wondering if it’s worthwhile to try it again, or if it’s just another snake oil in your opinion.
Answer: from Warren Matthews of Xtend-Life
I did some research on Angioprim and was not impressed with what I found.
I would be really surprised if this product achieved what they claim. However, I am not surprised that your gum health has improved, as it is quite likely that this product will have helped in that regard because of the presence of the amino acids Lysine and Cysteine which would assist your overall health.
Those two amino acids are also helpful as part of a protocol in improving overall the circulatory system. This is why they are a part, albeit a minor one of our Cardio-Klenz.
Their main ingredient they are calling Caysine, a synthetic amino acid. There is no such amino acid. It would appear that they have simply dreamed up this name for EDTA which is a synthetic amino acid commonly used for intravenous chelation and also in some oral ‘chelating’ supplements.
There is no evidence to support its efficacy. Over the years we have kept an eye on EDTA and we would have used it in Cardio-Klenz if there had been strong evidence supporting its efficacy in cleaning arteries. It may have some benefits in helping chelate metals out of the body but this not cleaning arteries.
EDTA is very popular in many ‘cowboy’ supplements because marketers find it easy to weave a good sales story around it. It is incredibly cheap…in fact it is the cheapest of all of the amino acids. Lysine and Cysteine are also amongst the cheapest of the amino acids.
I could not find any info on the amount of these three amino acids in Angioprim but even if they were high this product is outrageously expensive.
The promoters of Angioprim are, I believe, taking advantage of the general lack of knowledge in the market place and will try to get away with some pretty over-stated claims until they are ultimately brought into line.
They are proposing that customers take high doses of their product for a short period of time. I think that this is another marketing ploy to sell as much product as they can to a customer before they realize that it will do very little for them.
If you wish to clean your arteries it is important to tackle the task on multiple fronts. This means using a broad variety of bio-active ingredients that play roles which have scientifically proven to help…such as Nattokinase.
If you have a look at the ingredients in Cardio-Klenz you will, I am sure, get a better appreciation of just how important it is to have a broad synergistic range of active nutrients. Cleaning your arteries has to be a long-term project. There is no short-term solution. If it was as easy as taking the three amino acids in Angioprim then most of the heart disease so rampant in the world today could be eliminated. Sadly…it doesn’t work like that.
