Fighting Off Excessive Stomach Acid

When we take food into our bodies everything must be broken down into nutrients and vitamins that can be used by our system. The process of digestion starts in our mouth as we chew and the saliva begins to break down the food. Next, it goes into the stomach where an acid is released that further breaks down the food.

This acid is essential to our digestive process and normally the levels of it are carefully controlled by mechanisms in the stomach and proximal intestine.

    I used to have stomach problems EVERY DAY of my life until I stopped drinking coffee. Within the first month I no longer had indigestion and haven't felt heartburn EVER SINCE. It's been over two years compared to the last 30 years of constant PAIN!!!
    My advise: simply stop drinking coffee and start drinking hot black tea instead.

      Hi Vince! That's great advice and I love tea. But I'd bet there's a ton of us who shudder at the thought of giving up coffee lol. I guess it would come down to which is worse – your pain with coffee or the withdrawal from it? :)
