I’m a perfumer who has an educational background in the agricultural sciences, having studied crop science, agricultural production and economic botany. Dr. Hunter’s book fills my research needs on all levels. I wish to someday have a farm to grow aromatic plants for essential oil production – the details of how to take on that project are in this book, along with flowcharts and footnoted references. The scale of the agronomic enterprise can be tiny or huge, and this book will assist in the planning. As a perfumer, I was surprised to find the scope and detail of up-to-the-minute information on this art and industry. It’s a reference book that will always be on my bookshelf, along with other classics.
