Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, known generally as ADD is a neurobiological condition that may be genetically transmitted or caused by external factors. The condition is marked by symptoms such as procrastination, difficulty in getting work completed, and problems with organizing work.
Howsoever mundane these symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder may appear to be, the persistent presence of these tantamount to ruining an individuals life unless he/she learns to manage and live with it, with or without Adult ADD medication.
The level of occurrence of ADD in adults is unknown, but medical studies in transmission and control of diseases show that the symptoms of inattention, procrastination and organization exist in nearly 2-4% of adults.
Diagnosing ADD in adults becomes more difficult in cases where individuals do not report their symptoms themselves. Difficulties to complete even simple tasks and managing their lives become more noticeable and the inattentive trait of ADD patients usually takes a back seat. Moreover, symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder vary among individuals, through lifetime and are impacted by life experiences.

Most people with ADD suffer from anxiety too. In theory, if symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder are caused by anxiety, it need not be stipulated that the condition be classified as ADD. Actually there has not been enough research on ruling out anxiety.
Imagination plays havoc with a person’s brain, it is better to check out the facts rather than let your imagination run wild and lead yourself to anxiety. Better ways of getting over anxiety is by praying, Meditating, humor, sharing worries with friends rather than rushing to medication.
If anxiety has been caused by some real world situation it is better to make corrections in that situation rather than giving in to the perception that it is caused by ADD and look for easy medication solutions. Anxiety is also caused by medical conditions like, reactive Hypoglycemia when the sugar level in the body falls. Such conditions warrant a change in diet rather than Adult ADD medication.

Adult ADD drugs for treating symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder can prove to be very effective if medication is prescribed in the correct context. However, patients tend to rely more on over the counter medication that can prove to be ineffective and even harmful in many cases.
If Adult ADD medication has been prescribed, it is all the more important to follow the instructions of the physician to the last word as even small changes in dosage and the period for which it should be administered can make a vast difference.
Adult ADD drugs need to be administered only after proper analyses of the patient, as adults are likely to be on drugs for other ailments too. Such drugs often result in side effects that duplicate the symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder and can lead to confusion and even worsen the condition.

The inattentive type of adult attention disorder is the second most common amongst the six commonly known types of ADD. The irony is that these symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder often go unnoticed and are the most difficult to diagnose. We often refuse to associate symptoms like difficulty with time or money management, organization, or communication skills with ADD and tend to, either consciously or inadvertently, avoid or delay Adult ADD medication.
Moreover, in some ADD patients, positive traits like creativity, liveliness, flexibility, hyper focus, and intelligence are so accentuated that association of the symptoms with ADD becomes all the more difficult.
Whatever the claims of the manufacturers selling prescription or over the counter drugs, ADD does not have a cure and one has to live with it for a lifetime. The drugs that are used to treat ADD carry warnings of side effects of these drugs that range from liver disorder to suicidal tendencies.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has gained publicity as a disorder that affects children. Contrary to the popular perception, children do not outgrow this condition and it is possible that between 30 to 70 percent of children diagnosed with this condition may continue to exhibit it even as adults. It is also possible that this condition may not have been diagnosed as children and becomes more prominent only when they grow older.
The first condition is more prevalent in males whereas the second condition is more common in females. Though, this condition has been extensively studied in children, it is only now that attention is being slowly diverted towards adult ADHD. And therefore, now there are some specific ADHD treatments for adults.
Children with ADHD are often overactive, impulsive and inattentive. These symptoms are also true for adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD. However, with increase in age some of these symptoms change. Studies have suggested that with age hyperactivity reduces though the problem in concentration remains a constant.

The essence of the symptoms of adult Attention Deficit Disorder is development of inappropriate levels of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. You cannot expect any laboratory or centers of image testing to indicate with reasonable reliability whether such symptoms are that of ADD or not. The only way a doctor can diagnose ADD is by eliminating other behavioral disorders. The most difficult part of this elimination is the similarity of symptoms of other disorders that co-exist or cause ADD like symptoms. As such, the specialists have to rely mostly on clinical judgment.
As in the case of any other ailment, diagnosing is the primary step before going in for Adult ADD medication. Diagnosis can help in providing direction by which you can change your attitudes and move away from perceiving yourself as indolent or unmotivated. It actually proves to be a relief of sorts, if it is established that the symptoms that you are observing like difficulty in time management, organization, and communication are due to some brain impairment and not otherwise.

Founded by Samuel Hahnemann, in 1755, on the principle of “Similia Similibus Curentur” (Like Cures Like), the homoeopathic treatment regime is basically a holistic method of healing that seeks the help of healing properties of your own body. Homoeopathy focuses on the treatment of each patient as an individual addressing all expressions of a person, be it mental, emotional or physical. The best part of a homoeopathic treatment is that its remedies are gentle yet powerful and at the same time have minimal or no side effects.
All homoeopathic remedies are based on natural resources and do not have any synthetic element. The basic principle is that a drug in its diluted form will cure an individual of the symptoms that the same drug induces when administered in its crude form. The homoeopathic regime has a peculiar system of dilution whereby rectified spirits are added to the mother tincture in ratios of nine or ninety-nine to one depending upon whether the decimal or the centesimal scale is being used.

Adult Deficit Disorder, commonly called ADD is a developmental disorder manifested by the requirement of unsuitable levels of attention. Some people describe ADD as a profusion of attention as some people find it difficult to focus attention on one thing at a time especially when it appears meaningless and boring to them rather than a lack of attention.
Even though studies estimate that almost 3.5% of the population is affected by ADD, diagnoses of ADD is a controversial issue, since many experts believe it to be a psychological rather than a biological disorder.
Following are the symptoms of a person who suffers from this condition:
1. Inability to focus attention to detail, making careless mistakes while going about daily work schedule
2. Appearing not to listen when spoken to
3. Ignoring instructions or finishing tasks
4. Avoiding tasks that require higher levels of mental effort
5. Frequently losing items required for the work at hand
6. Getting distracted easily
7. Excessive forgetfulness
