Research results show that there is a connection between how your body metabolizes caffeine and your Heart Attack risk. The research study shows that what is important is how quickly your body can metabolize the caffeine.

Individuals were studied between 1994 and 2004 and those with a gene variant that caused them to metabolize caffeine slowly were at a third greater risk of having a Heart Attack when they drank two or three cups of beverage containing caffeine a day. Those odds increased to 64% if they consumed four or more cups of caffeine containing beverages a day. These odds are compared to individuals who drank less than one cup of caffeine containing beverage.

If you or a loved one is on a statin drug, or you know someone who is I would urge you ro read the following article by Bill Sardi. There is only one part of his article that I disagree with and that is where he refers to high dose Vitamin D. It is possible to overdose with Vitamin D in supplement form but not from sunshine.

Well, what would you do? I asked myself that question and couldn’t think of anything. After all you can’t perform CPR on yourself! And, if you are alone in a little plane and/or by yourself in the car in a remote part of the country you can’t get help quickly.

A blood clot is the most common cause of a blocked coronary artery. Usually, the artery is already partially narrowed by atheromas. An atheroma may rupture or tear, narrowing the artery further and making blockage by a clot more likely. The ruptured atheroma not only reduces the flow of blood through an artery but also releases substances that make platelets stickier, further encouraging clots to form.
