Inspired by Better Basics of the Home, by Annie B. Bond (Three Rivers Press, 1999). Courtsey of http://www.care2.com/
This marvelous formula relies on just three all-natural antifungal and antibacterial ingredients that combine to make a marvelously sweet-smelling and effective Dandruff treatment. Some of us use it just because we love the way it smells and because it leaves our hair feeling so soft, bouncy, and shining.
INGREDIENTS
* 8 ounces organic apple cider
* 2 ounces bay rum
* 10 drops essential oil of Clove
1. In a pint mason jar with a screw lid, combine all the ingredients and shake thoroughly to blend.
2. Use about 1/4 cup per treatment. Apply to hair immediately after shampooing and allow to remain on the scalp and hair for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
3. This formula will keep indefinitely.

Ingredients:
* 4 oz Aloe Vera juice
* 3 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
* 3 drops Lavender Essential Oil
* 2 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
Directions
Put Aloe Vera juice into a 4 oz sprayer bottle. Add essential oils to the mixture - you can leave out the Rosemary and substitute it for Grapefruit EO if you like (supposed to be better for blondes). You can also leave out the Grapefruit EO if you like. This isn’t oily or sticky on my hair. I apply it after getting out of the shower - just shake and spray onto damp hair. Dry hair like normal. The Rosemary “green” scent will fade as the hair dries. I use this to help as a detangler, and it leaves my hair feeling soft, but not greasy.

If you want to do something nice for your hair, rinse it once a month with flat beer. After applying the beer, you can rinse the hair with warm water or not, as you choose. The beer acts as a natural setting lotion, giving blow-dried hair increased vitality, resilience and hold. The B Vitamins and natural sugar add body and shine. Don’t worry; the stale beer smell will disappear very quickly.
