I BECAME AWARE OF ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES WHEN my oldest son was about a year old. He had an Ear Infection and the doctor wanted him to take antibiotics. A friend suggested I get some ear drops made with Echinacea and Garlic. I decided to try the Echinacea and Garlic drops even though I had gone by to fill the prescription for antibiotic. When we had a follow up visit with the doctor a week later he was well pleased with Ian’s speedy recovery. I didn’t tell him that Ian had had herbal eardrops instead of the antibiotic, and afterwards, our trips to the doctor for colds, Flu and minor infections were greatly reduced. I became interested in herbal therapies and learned how to use teas, capsules, tinctures and ointments made with natural herbs. From there I learned about Homeopathy and Flower Essences and using the energetic signature of a substance to bring about healing.

Colored Light Meditation

Every day I give myself a bath, well that too, but this is a colorful light bath that clears and balances my chakras. I use it at the beginning of my day to protect myself and set my intentions.

Balancing Your Chakras in a Color Bath

Begin by sitting comfortably. Take a deep breath in through your nose, and exhale out through your mouth. Do this three times. Now begin by picturing the white light of God and of Universal love swirling around you in a counter-clockwise motion, starting at your feet, and moving up towards your head. Picture this motion of white light going around you three times, each time starting at the bottom of your feet and moving upwards.

Next, start a little bit above your head, picture a purple (crown chakra - which brings in spirit) light swirling around, try counter-clockwise, if that doesn’t quite feel right, trying move the purple light in a clockwise motion.

About a week ago, my mom shared with me a story about the time she was in the hospital. One of her dear friends came to visit and brought her a single hydrangea flower in a vase…the thing was, the flower was black! My mom, although not sharing her feeling of unease with her good friend (who was unaware of the effects of the flower and its color) shared with me, that it was one of the most disturbing events she could recall.

Color affects every moment of our lives although our color choices are mostly unconscious. Color has a great emotional impact on a person that comes out via the clothes we chose to wear, decorations to fill our homes, personality, foods we choose to eat, flowers we surround ourselves with and many more ways.

Sit or lie comfortably. Set the energy of protection around you by invoking either the angels of the four corners (Michael, Gabriel, Ariel, and Uriel), or by asking for the protective energy of the Source of All.

Notice any tense areas in your body. Gently tighten that area of Tension, then release it. Feel the Tension leaving. Do this with each taut area in the body.

Anger is the feeling we experience when events in our world are not going according to our plans. Anger is one of the most common and destructive delusions affecting our minds. Because it is based on an exaggeration, anger is an expression of our belief system and how we defend it.

Although we can and do experience anger at any time or season, it is Spring when we are most easily angered. This is believed to be due to the changes of light and dark and the balance between them.

Sodalite is a member of the feldspathoid group. These minerals are chemically similar to the feldspars but have considerably less silica, forming from alkali-rich silica-poor melts. Heart Break is the realization of our greatness. Heartbreak is one of the most trying, difficult and hurtful processes we can go through. Heart break is not just an emotional state but can induce real patho-physiologic feelings of pain in the heart. Heart Chakra Energy

When the energy of our Heart center or Chakra is in balance, we are compassionate, loving, empathetic, altruistic, peaceful, in balance and truly have love for ourselves. When the heart is out of balance in excess conditions, we tend to express issues of co-dependency, poor boundaries with often demanding, clinging, jealous and overly sacrificing tendencies.

When the heart is out of balance in deficient conditions, we tend to become anti-social, withdrawn, critical, judgmental, intolerant of ourselves and others, lonely, isolated and depressed.
