Swish around at least 30 seconds, spit out - do NOT swallow! It may numb your mouth a little for a bit - I've used tea tree this way for gum infections (it's also a strong antiseptic) and it has worked wonderfully. Because it's also anti-fungal, it should help the oral thrush as well. :) Put 1 drop of tea tree in about a 1/2 cup of warm water. Swish around at least 30 seconds, spit out – do NOT swallow!
